What Do You Need To Have In Place for the New Year?
As we enter into the realm of 2018, we all have to take a second to reflect on the achievements and goals we overcame as business owners. Whether you were experiencing financial troubles, getting your business off the ground, or just dealing with the seasonal ups and downs, it’s always important to take a glance back and remember how you walked through it all. After all, it’s the only way you can ever move forward.
2018 is officially here, and we’re shaping up Sprout Marketing Group in a big way. With potential partnerships and client expansions happening all around us, it’s safe to say this year presents a lot of opportunity for us. But enough about our stuff, what about you? What plans are you putting into place to make your business stand out this year?
Something we always recommend to not just clients but people in general is that you set goals. The worst thing you can do is come at a year, or even a day, without ambition. Obviously, easier said than done. We love our Netflix binge days, too.
So what goals do you set? Let’s run through a couple that could keep you focused rather than scatterbrained.
Find your goal for the days, not for the weeks. Set aside some serious time to do this every day to allow yourself the chance to dial in. Most of the time we’re busy scheduling meetings and taking calls, we forget we had a purpose for our day. Try to keep on track with this to improve your workflow.
Ask around. Having trouble finding goals to commit to? See what your friends, family, and co-workers have to look forward to this year. It’s not an issue to not have a resolution, but you should always have goals in mind.
Make them reasonable. Never aim low, but always remain focused on a logical goal. It’s hard to anticipate making a ton of money within a year, but if you keep a goal of surpassing a certain amount of your business’ income bit by bit, you can see the dramatic increase over time.
Touch base with lingering leads. Just because they said no 5 months ago, doesn’t mean they still want nothing to do with you. Grab yourself a second to reconnect, and find out what opportunities are still available. It sounds cliche, but you never know until you make an effort.
This isn’t super cutting-edge advice, but you will find that sometimes it’s better to lower your guard and just listen. We all are rushing to be at the forefront of our industries and lives, that it benefits us immensely to slow down and consider breathing.
Sprout Marketing Group is looking to have a fantastic 2018, and we hope we can help you get there if you’re unsure of how to begin.
